This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you from our various platforms, for example ADASS East website, contracted platforms such as Eventbrite, and by telephone. 

What information do we collect about you?

We collect, store and use identifiable information about you in order to deliver our services to you.

We collect this information when you:

  • Register to join the ADASS East website
  • submit an enquiry or feedback
  • book, register, and/or attend an event
  • track opens and link clicks within emails from ADASS East
  • submit information by other means that we use

The information is likely to include your name, job title, email address, and organisation.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to process your request such as sending you our e-newsletter, answering your queries.

Whenever we process data for these purposes we will ensure that we always keep your Personal Data rights in high regard and take account of these rights. You have the right to object to this processing and be removed from our system. Please bear in mind that if you do so, this may affect our ability to carry out tasks above for your benefit.

ADASS East will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies. We may share your information with others in order to fulfil your request. For example, we may need to share some of your details with an events company if you are due to attend a ADASS East event at an external venue, or if the event is being held in partnership with another organisation. They will not have the right to hold your details or use them for any other purpose.

How is your information stored?

We store and process personal data and information on our secure servers. Data is stored and processed on ADASS East’s behalf by a range of software packages, data stores and organisations, in accordance with this privacy policy.

These providers cannot use your data for any other purpose, other than that set out in their contract with ADASS East. So they cannot contact you or sell your data to others. Data you provide to ADASS East is encrypted during its transmission from your device to our servers.

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal data collected against loss, misuse, unauthorized use, access, inadvertent disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, no network, server, database, Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us electronically and when disclosing personal information.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. You can log on and modify your details or delete your account. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the following address. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. Cookies
